Outreach & MISSIONS

To Spread the Gospel Around the Globe

We believe it is the church's mission to spread the fame of God's name and the glory of the gospel both locally and globally,  This missional mandate can be carried out through organized efforts by the church via partnerships with other ministries, missions offerings, and scheduled ministry activities. Yet we also believe it is the responsibility of each family in the church to be on mission for Christ through simple, organic, grass-roots efforts to minister to their neighbors and friends through hospitality, Christ-like kindness, and sharing the life-saving message of Christ.

And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

Thinking Locally

It is the mandate for the church to preach and minister to the needs of our local communities. Harbins members are involved in a variety of local outreach projects including street evangelism, serving at local nursing homes, supporting the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, and reaching out to new homeowners in the area. Harbins directly supports church plants in John's Creek, GA, Boston, MA, through the Pillar Foundation. Harbins also partners with the Greater Atlanta Baptist Network to plant churches locally.

Thinking Globally

It is the mandate of the church to take the gospel to the nations. God desires for His glory to cover the face of the earth and for people of all tribes, languages, and nations to be brought in to His kingdom. Harbins has supported overseas orphanages, done short-term missions work in Honduras, funded well-baby clinics, and supported missionaries in South Asia. On top of that we give to the Cooperative Program to support the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
