And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ...

Ephesians 4:11-12

The heart of Harbins Community Baptist Church is the relationships between members. Harbins will only be a healthy, growing church when every member is also a minister who is speaking God's Word into the lives of one another.
At Harbins, members are often encouraged to pursue hospitality with one another and you may find yourself invited to someone else's house after church. Other times there are informal discipleship relationships and "meet-ups" happening all throughout the week.

Discipleship Opportunities

Fellowship Meals

Men's Prayer

Women's Fellowship

The last Sunday of every month (except for November and December) we offer a fellowship meal. This is a great way to meet new people and get free food! The themes of the meals vary and we offer a gluten-free table. Make sure you come for our Chili Cook-off every October!
On the Second Sunday of every month (6:30-8 PM), the men of Harbins gather for prayer. We read and reflect upon a Psalm, pray together, then gather to share requests and pray for one another. For many, this is the highlight of their month!
There are often women's Bible studies at Harbins. We have recently had studies that meet on Monday nights and Saturday mornings. The moms of Harbins often meet up during the week at many of the local parks in Gwinnett County.

Worship Nights

We love to worship! A few times a year, we will gather for a fellowship meal and an extended time of worship. We love to have time set apart for an extended period of singing songs to the Lord! This is a great way to meet new people at Harbins.

Book Club

There is one thing about Harbins that you need to know--we love books! And we like to read them together. We often have book clubs meeting through the week. We have read books like "Knowing God" by J. I. Packer and John Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress."

Weekly Small Groups

We offer classes and small groups throughout the school year for members. These small groups range from an informal discussions to classes on various topics. We also offer opportunities to receive biblical counseling training from an ACBC certified biblical counselor.
